PUBLIC AI LITERACY & DIGITAL TRUST

AI is changing reality.
Stay grounded in it.

The ability to create convincing voices, images, videos and text is now in everyone's hands. Understanding what’s real shouldn't be reserved for experts.

01 / WHY WE EXIST

Knowledge is the first line of defense.

We believe everyone deserves a clear understanding of artificial intelligence: what it can do, where it can mislead, and how to use it responsibly.

AI-generated media is becoming easier to create and harder to judge at a glance. We advocate for transparency, stronger media literacy and practical protections that help people make informed decisions about what they see, hear and read.

Our mission is to make AI accessible, understandable and safer for everyday people through free education, practical verification techniques, scam prevention resources and, eventually, thoughtfully tested detection tools.

AI should empower humanity, not exploit its trust.

02 / THE FOUNDATIONS

Four pillars. One better-informed world.

Start with the basics. Build the habits that matter.

03 / THE VERIFICATION PLAYBOOK

Don't just look for glitches.
Verify the story.

The strongest clues often come from sources and context, not visual artifacts.

Important: No single glitch, writing pattern or detector score can reliably prove whether content is AI-generated. Authentic content can look strange, and synthetic content can look flawless. Check multiple independent signals.

04 / SAFETY CENTER

When urgency spikes,
verification matters most.

Scams frequently rely on fear, pressure and believable impersonation. Use this quick checklist before responding to an unexpected request.

0 of 4 steps checked

COMMON THREATS
Voice-cloned emergencies

A familiar-sounding caller demands urgent help or payment.

Deepfake endorsements

A fake video uses a recognizable face to promote a scheme.

Impersonated support

Messages posing as an employer, bank, or tech support ask for access.

AI-generated misinformation

Convincing media spreads without reliable origin or context.

05 / QUICK-START GUIDES

Small habits. Big protection.

Useful steps you can apply today.

GUIDE / 03 MIN

The 30-second authenticity check

Find the original post, assess the source, cross-check the claim, and resist pressure to share.

GUIDE / 04 MIN

What if a family member calls asking for money?

Voice cloning can mimic familiar voices. A callback to a trusted number breaks the spell.

GUIDE / 03 MIN

Using AI without exposing private information

Protect sensitive data, verify outputs and understand what a chatbot may get wrong.

06 / IN DEVELOPMENT

Building tools that earn your trust.

Our long-term vision includes products that help people evaluate suspicious audio, video, images and text. These tools will need careful benchmarking, privacy protections, accessibility and clearly explained uncertainty.

Our first proposed product is a deepfake analysis assistant that helps surface verification signals, not a magic true/false button.

QUESTIONS WORTH ASKING

Clarity over hype.

Can AI-generated media always be detected?

No. Detection tools and visual clues are imperfect. The safest approach combines source validation, context, corroboration and cautious interpretation of technical signals.

Does using AI mean content is deceptive?

Not at all. AI can be used creatively and responsibly. The concern is undisclosed manipulation, fraud, impersonation and misleading claims.

Is AI-WARE a registered nonprofit or official authority?

No claim of nonprofit registration or government affiliation is made. AI-WARE Project is a provisional working name for an independent initiative under development.

Can I upload files for deepfake detection today?

Not yet. The detection product is a future goal. The current site provides education and verification techniques, not an automated authenticity verdict.

STAY CURIOUS. STAY CRITICAL.

The next era needs informed people.
